Determined Seconds hold on to win

The game started with Elks dominating the play and having a good few attacking spells of hockey. The well settled defence of Lisnagarvey dealt well with this and managed to clear the ball out to the midfield and turn the pattern of play round with Lisnagarvey then starting to dominate the attacks after a slow start.

Lisnagarvey scored first with a nice piece of passing hockey starting from Lynn Kerr in defence and finishing with Laura Wilson putting the ball in the bottom right corner of the goal.

The game continued to see end to end play with both teams having goal scoring opportunities and Elks scored shortly after half time to level the game at 1-1.

Lisnagarvey showed their determination by continuing to attack and Jenna Flynn scored from and excellent reverse shot. Lisnagarvey defended from the front for the last 10 minutes and held on to win a very tough game.
