Disappointing draw for Seconds
Despite poor playing conditions at the start of the match it was Garvey who took a two goal lead when Dowling scored from a rebound and Whitten doubled the lead with a well taken reverse strike after good work from Matthew Getty.
Kilkeel, however, finished the half stronger and managed to not only bring the game back to all square but scored a third to go into half time 3-2 ahead.

Hide AdGarvey started the second half as they had the first and regained the lead with two early goals. Both came from the impressive Dowling to complete his hat-trick, the second being a neat deflection over the keeper.
The lead did not last long however and within a matter of minutes Kilkeel had scored twice with two breakaway goals.
This left Garvey scrambling for an equaliser and with only a few minutes left they converted their only corner of the game with Gray dispatching from a well executed variation.
In the end a draw was a fair result. While Garvey did have chances at the start of both halves, poor defending allowed Kilkeel back into the game and only for several saves from Campbell Kilkeel themselves could easily have taken all three points.
