The home team showed a strong performance all over the pitch during the first half, with great precision passing and excellent movement on the ball. However, they were equally matched with the visitors’ standard of play, leaving the score 0-0 at half time. In the second half, Randalstown came out fighting and took advantage of Banbridge’s slow start to win a short corner, which they then scored from. The Bann ladies set up and attacked quickly, winning several short corners but unfortunately were unable to convert any of their chances into goals.

In the final few minutes of the game, Randalstown continued to put pressure on the home side winning another short corner, which was superbly saved by Naomi Matthews. However, Banbridge were not in position for the rebound and as a result Randalstown scored again, making the final score 2-0.

Thank you to Coach Dane Ward for his continuous support and to Punam McGookin for umpiring.
