Disappointment for ladies
Lisnagarvey Ladies Bowling Club travelled to Lurgan on Thursday April 30. They had a disappointing match only securing 1 point. Kay McCully’s rink with Greta Jeffers, Ann Corry and Joyce Lyness won 20 shots to 12.
Iris Scott’s rink went down 11 - 20 while Vera McCourt’s rink scored 11 shots to 18. Moya Mclean’s rink struggled against strong opposition and lost 10 shots to 30 shots.
The match next week is at home to Newcastle.
New members are always welcome - Monday afternoons are “rinks” when the club would be delighted to greet any ladies interested in the game of bowls.
