Disappointment for Sarah

They were due to travel to Wales last weekend to compete in the Celtic challenge between Ulster, Leinster, Wales and Lothian. With their flight cancelled, the team was unable to make alternative arrangements within the time frame.

Local girl Sarah Ferris (left) was looking forward to the event. Having just completed a very successful tournament session she was in the form of her life and was expected to shine for Ulster. In recent local tournaments she won the Minor B ladies doubles, was runner up in the Minor A ladies doubles and then in the highest ranked local tournament she won the Junior singles and doubles.

Sarah has already played for Ulster this year in the inter provincial team which won the series. As Sarah will still be Under-15 next year, hopefully she will have many more opportunities in the future.
