Drew just misses the point

CYFC 17s player Drew Kelly changed sports last Saturday and swapped his football boots for his other passion, darts.

The budding "Phil Taylor" made an appearance at the Northern Ireland Open Darts Tournament held in Larne.

Drew was in the under 18s catogary and was unlucky to draw the Northern Ireland under 18s captain, Darnell McCrory in the first round, and if the Northern Ireland International thought he was in for an easy time, he hadn't counted on ten years training at Cookstown Youth FC on how to be competative.

The first round was over two legs and the plucky Cookstown 15 year old took the match to 1-1 before narrowly missing out on the decider, losing 2-1.

Unlucky Drew but there's always next year so it's back to the 17s against Sunnyside this week.
