Drivers make the most of dry conditions

Aghadowey Stadium was once again the venue for another stock car meeting on Friday night.

The rain stayed away and the drivers were able to burn rubber on the dry track.

1600 Lightning Rods – Jerome Doherty finished in first place with Clifford Nevin second and Amos McCloy third.

1400 Saloon Stockcars - Aghadowey driver Barry McAleese took the chequered flag followed closely by Josh

McMullan in second place and Adrian Nevin in third.

2L Sierras - Aghadowey driver David Faloon picked up the winner’s trophy with Kyle Tannahill second and Mark Shields in third place.

Open Hot Rod – Walter Nevin crossed the finishing line ahead of his nephew Jaye Nevin and Donegal driver Terence McConlogue.

1600 Bangers – William McFaul Jnr finished in pole position with Karl McFaul second and Brian McMullan third.

Next meeting –will be held on Friday 2 September.

The main attraction of the night will be the Junior Stocks Challenge Cup along side the 1600 Bangers, Open Hotrods, Lightning Rods, and 2L Sierras.

Racing starts at 7.15pm sharp.
