Four teams made the trip to round off this season’s tournament and a good performance was put in by all teams and their supportive parents who definitely needed their brollies but were not driven away from the sidelines by a bit of rain.

P6 were again pipped into third but left buoyant with high hopes for next season and all Coach Veronica’s coaching came into play as they finished with a mature, developed game. P4 fired up after their fabulous win last week were determined to be crowned victors again and played with a steely determination to ensure they lifted the trophy and a medal each again.

Well done to everyone who played on through mizzle and rain and thanks to the parents for their support and to Banbridge for their hospitality to ensure everyone was kept warm and well fed.

Back at Ferris Park, Try Hockey continued into its third week with again a fabulous turnout of over 60 girls who are now not trying hockey but loving it. Great news for the Junior Club next year.

Make sure you pencil Dromore’s summer hockey camp onto your calendar for P2- P7 on August 5-7 and for P7+ on August 14-16.

This week sees the final training sessions played out with the grand finale and Tricks for Sticks on Saturday followed by the Junior Club prizegiving. Please check Facebook or the website http://www.dromoreladieshockeyclub.com/ for times and details.
