Dromore came into the game as undefeated in the league Cup and NuttyKrust games this season which gave them a well deserved title as favourites to take the title again.

The team started off slow but soon kicked into gear with superb tackling from Kalem Travers and Ryan Hughes which resulted in the ball being fed to the centres and Marcus Heath bursting through the Rainey defence before passing to Ross Bingham who scored in the corner.

Rainey, spurred on by a swift side line chat from their coaches, scored twice soon after before Dromore got hold of the ball through Johnny Creighton, Mathew McMaster and Adam McDonald who along with soft hands and pin point passing accuracy from Joshua Brahem delivered the ball to the wing and the ever present Ryan Hughes who scored.

Dromore started the second half with high spirits and soon broached the line with a great try in the corner by Adam McDonald.

The pack seemed to lose focus and gave away a few soft penalties but lucky for them the Rainey Scrum half had left his kicking boots in the car but his pack crossed the line.

Dromore’s coaching team had an inspirational change of wingers and brought on James Milligan who took the ball from his own line and jinked his way through the Rainey defence and ran the length of the pitch to scored under the posts, which sealed a very impressive victory.
