Drones win cup

THE final of the Sam Walker Knockout League Cup was played last Thursday night in the Potters Club, Coleraine.

And what a final it turned out to be in front in front of a large crowd of spectators, it was real nail-biting stuff.

It was Drones player Paul Simpson who took the first frame, but his opponent Lee Hull hit back claiming the second frame easily to level the score.

This continued in the second game as David Baker took on Curtis Boreland. So with only two frames to play it really was down to a toss of a coin as to who would win the first silverware of the season - Potters Elite or Drones.

Gregory Cooke won the first frame, but it looked like it would be a draw as took a 40 point lead. Cooke though fought back with a clearance to win the cup for Drones.
