Dunaghy defeat Riada FC to take the points in mid week clash

Riada FC and Dunaghy did battle at the Riada Centre on Wednesday and it was Dunaghy who came out on top.

Dunaghy started early with some good work from Martin Shaw down the right wing, crossing in for Colin Barkley to finish.

Dunaghy got a second from a Gareth McConaghie free kick and things looked to be going according to plan but Riada replied to make it 2-1.

Dunaghy scored another through Jock Wade goal but Riada refused to go away and scored to make it 3-2 at half time.

Dunaghy started well in the second half and scored a good early goal through Lee Patrick to make it 4-2 but Riada again had chances but did not capitalise and Ryan Christie secured the points for Dunaghy half way through the second half with a well taken goal.

PORTRUSH V DERVOCK FC

dervock earned a hard fought win against a strong Portrush team. The Portrush keeper produced a couple of fine saves to keep the score level till half time.

Ryan Boyd came off bench and scored a great solo effort before being carried off five minutes later after a bad tackle.

Portrush equalised with 10 minutes to go before Alzy ‘Bomber’ McConaghie scored from the spot with five minutes to go to earn a well deserved 3 points.

RIADA V RINGSEND

Riada travelled to Clyde Park Garvagh on Saturday to take on Ringsend and ran out comfortable 3-1 winners. Goalscorers for Riada were Stephen McCook, Andrei Graur and James McGoldrick.

BALLYBOGEY REACH THE FINAL

Ballybogey defeated Glebe Reserves on Saturday morning to reach the cup final for the second year running with goals from James McLaughlin 3, Tommy Elder 2 and William Beckett securing the victory.

This was a good game for the spectators and keeps the double on track again for Ballybogey who need a point on Tuesday night to clinch the league title.
