Dunlop reverses decision

After suggesting this morning that he would sit out today’s Monster Energy Supersport Race 2, Michael Dunlop has reversed the decision to take part in the race.

The popular Northern Irish rider suffered a heavy fall in Sunday’s RST Superbike Race while on course for a 132+mph lap.

Although passed fit to ride he has been suffering from bruising and although he scored a well-earned finish of second in the RL360 Superstock Race yesterday it was thought he had decided to concentrate his efforts on getting fully fit for the Blue Riband PokerStars Senior on Friday.

However, his bike has been passed by scrutineering and it is thought he will take part in the race before returning to Northern Ireland for physiotherapy this evening.

He will return to the island in time for the Senior on Friday.
