Dunloy Cycling Club competing three nights in a row

Racing scenes were busy this week with some of the Dunloy Cycling Club members competing three nights in a row.

The first of the events was an interclub race in Aghadowey was hosted by Bann Wheelers.

A strong tail wind saw the group traveling at speeds of 40mph in some parts of the course.

Dunloy had a good turnout at the event but it was Finbarr Dooey who was first home for the club with Conor Bradley finishing safely in the bunch.

Wednesday night was the turn of Neil Higgins to claim his place on the podium.

He finished 3rd place in Ballymoneys event to prove his training is working well.

Three of the youth team also took part Conor Higgins and the McGregor brothers all managed to successfully finish in respectable positions, congratulations boys

Finally it was Dunloys own club race on Thursday night on the Bravallen road route.

A good turnout started on the night but Chris mcKeown and Finbarr Dooey managed to chase down the lead group after starting in scratch and claim second and fifth place respectively with Conor Bradley securing ninth place to complete the top 10 on the night

A special mention must go to the Wallace brothers, Callum and Cameron who completed the race regardless of them being junior riders.

Excellent riding boys and always a pleasure to see them taking part at the club events.
