Dunloy keep pressure on league leaders

DUNLOY started off well in this Michelin Athletic Club-sponsored Ballymena Provincial League Intermediate match and took the lead on the 16th minute with a goal scored by Kevin McAllister.

Carniny came back into the game but failed to take a clear chance before Kevin McQuillan scored making it two nil for Dunloy on the 34th minute. Half-time saw Dunloy still have the two goal cushion which increased after Cahal Higgins scored on the 55th minute, a lead which Dunloy held until the final whistle. Referee Mr. Damian Page.

In Junior One, Antrim went in front after 9 minutes with a goal scored by Darren Brammeld then added to this with a goal scored by Alan Jones on the 16th minute.

Glebe replied with a goal scored by Adam McVicker on the 30th minute but Antrim hit back with a third goal scored by Alan Moore on the 34th minute. The second half saw both teams go for goals but only one was scored by Kenny Lutton for Antrim on the 68th minute. Referee Mr. Russell Kennedy

Both teams played it very tight at the start of this game with the first goal being scored by Jamie Magill on the 31st minute putting Larne in front.

Ballymoney equalised on the 47th minute when Gary Keys scored on the volley then Larne went in front for a second time after Zac Weatherhead scored on the 78th minute.

Ballymoney had the chase the game after this but Larne sealed the win when Chris Blaney scored their third goal on the 89th minute. Referee Mr. William McConaghie
