Duo training in Romania

TWO young City of Derry stars are currently at a European Youth Olympics training camp in Romania with a select 24 strong group of 15/16 year olds from clubs all over Ireland.

The Spartans, Triple/Long Jumper Claire Docherty and Hurdler/Sprinter Ryan McParland joined three Donegal athletes, selected to travel as part of the Olympic Council of Ireland's preparations for participation in next year's European Youth Olympics Festival in Turkey.

Congratulations to all of them and no doubt the experience will add to their further development in the sport.
