The Eurospar Dungiven-sponsored event isn’t just a chance to get fit it’s also a fantastic way to raise vital funds for NI Cancer Fund for children and Benbradagh Community Support Centre.

The annual event which is now in its third year will be held on August 25 and will commence at Dungiven’s Sports Pavilion at 12pm. It was officially launched on July 6 by the new mayor of Limavady, Cathal McLaughlin.

NICFC Corporate fundraiser, Sorcha Chipperfield, thanked Aileen McNicholl from Dungiven Eurospar for choosing to support NICFC for a second year.

“We’re looking forward to what promises to be a fantastic day. All the money raised for NICFC this year will help to support children, teenagers and young people living with cancer in Northern Ireland,” Sorcha added.

Colleen Harkin, Community and Youth Co-ordinator for Benbradagh Community Support said: “We are delighted to be involved in this year’s event as it gives our organisation a chance to raise much-needed funds not just for ourselves but for Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children. “

“It is a perfect opportunity to get people involved in a good cause as our group is very keen to encourage community participation. This event will also enable us to promote ourselves within the wider Benbradagh community. We are heavily involved in health and well-being initiatives in the area so a Road Race and Fun Run is a great idea. Having the support and sponsorship of our local Eurospar is fantastic and it is great to see a local business take an interest in helping the local community,” Coleen added.
