Eakin secures another Nevin Cup

THE final of the Nevin Cup was played last Thursday night at the Triangle Snooker Club, with the cup doubley represented by finalists Willie Eakin and Stephen McIlroy.

The first frame went to previous winner Eakin and McIlroy took the second to level the score.

The third frame saw Eakin come from behind with a nice 50 break which levelled the score and then took the pink to win the third and took the fourth with a lucky cross pink to lift the trophy for the second time.

After the final there were drinks and refreshments laid on for supporters which no doubt everyone enjoyed as the night went on.

Another good night for the Nevin Cup organisers Sammy Walker, assisted by William Eakin.
