Shepherd then completed his hat trick to make it 8-0 to Glebe Old Boys. Hazelbank tried throughout, never giving up, however, they were no match for a well organised and determined Glebe Old Boys team.

After the match player/manager Ian Bellingham commented: “I was really pleased with performance of the players. Once again we kept a clean sheet which is pleasing. I have to pay credit to Hazlebank who were playing with a few players missing but never gave up.”
