Elliott claims Individual title

Gary Elliott was crowned 2013 Ballyclare and District Darts League Individuals champion after he defeated Jonathan Blair in the final this week.

Elliott saw off N. Duff 2-0 in the last eight, before booking his spot in the final with a 2-1 semi-final win over P. McIlroy.

Blair landed legs of 17, 13 and 20 darts en route to a 3-1 victory in the showpiece match.

Quarter-finals: P. McCord 2 - 1 A.Martin, G. Elliott 2 - 0 N. Duff, P. McIlroy 2 - 1 J. O’Hara, J. Blair 2 - 1 S. Mcilroy.

Semi-finals: J. Blair 2 - 0 P. McCord, G. Elliott (16) 2 - 1 P. McIlroy.

Final: Gary Elliott (17 / 13 / 20) 3 - 1 Jonathan Blair (14).

League delegates should attend a meeting in the Comrades Club tonight Thursday May 2 at 8pm with monies to be paid to the league treasurer.

The Morton Cup takes place at at the Sportsman’s Inn on Friday, May 3. Players are asked to be at the venue by 8pm.
