Emma is Irish Champion

Congratulations to St Patrick's Academy pupil Emma Lundy Year 10 who recently was placed first in the Irish Junior Championships in the U15 category for Squash.

The All-Ireland tournament was held in Galway at the start of February. Emma has previously been runner up but this time she took the title.

Emma will now represent Ireland in the Five Nations Competition which will be held in England in April.

A squash team effort is to also be congratulated as Emma, Joanna Donnelly and Katie Peacock recently competed in the Ulster Schools Squash Championships. They came 2nd overall which is an amazing achievement for the girls as this is the first time they have played in a major tournament.
