The week kicks off on Sunday 19th July with the popular annual Bike Run and Barbeque, which will head off to Glenarm, before returning to Armoy for a couple of laps of the circuit and to Tilly Molloy’s for refreshments. Last year, over 100 riders signed on for this now very popular tour of the Causeway Coast and Glens.  This can all be enjoyed for only £10!

William Munnis, Chairman of the Course, said, “Bike Week is incredibly exciting and you can tell everyone is eager for the main races on Saturday, as the anticipation builds throughout the week. The Armoy Road Races aren’t just good fun for the locals, but we’ve seen a dramatic increase in tourism over the years. We even have a couple from New Zealand who are coming to the event.

“During the week, we’ve various activities organised in the area and this year, we are hosting a ‘Renegade Strongman’ demonstration where some of Europe’s Strongest Men will be conducting amazing feats of strength.

“Wednesday sees a Classic Car Display, featuring beautiful classic cars. Ballymoney Old Vehicle Club will be visiting Tilly Molloy’s at 7.00pm with all types of vehicles, including trucks.

“Thursday celebrates our racing heritage with a gathering of the Coleraine Motorcycle Club and Japanese Vintage Club bikes from our racing past, all before the Miss Armoy Competition, which is taking place in the Club’s VIP Corporate Hospitality Marquee to the front of the paddock.

“As one of the major highlights of Bike Week, Miss Armoy welcomes young women from all over Northern Ireland and the local area to come along and enjoy a great night’s craic at Armoy. We will have music from local band ‘Roll the Dice’, but be sure not to get too merry, as practice for the race will take place on Friday! As per last year we’ll have the first of our road races on Friday night – it’s the Supersport Race 1 600cc.
