Experienced club-man McMinn takes charge at Banbridge Rangers

Richard McMinn has been installed as the new First Team Manager at Banbridge Rangers.

As a founder member, Richard has been involved with every role possible within the club and he now takes over the reigns from former boss Andy Frazer who stepped down last weekend.

Glenn Moffett will take on a role as Assistant Manager/Player and George McAllister will return to the club as Head Coach.

Jason Hillis will continue as Team Attendant.

New boss McMinn commented on the club’s Facebook page: “Delighted to be asked by club chairman John Patterson to come onboard and with Glenn and Geordie coming in beside myself I’m hoping we can build and develop the squad over the coming months to enable future success being brought to this great club.

“Huge credit must be given to Andy Frazer who has worked tirelessly during his time in charge and his commitment has been superb leaving a solid base from which we can now work from.

“I’m now confident that the new management team will make a few additions to the talented squad we currently have.”

The next fixture for Banbridge Rangers is a home tie at Cheney Park against Tandragee Rovers. Rovers will be out to keep the momentum for a title challenge but have already suffered defeat at Cheney Park this season when Rangers dumped them out of the Bob Radcliffe Cup with a 2-0 win in August.

The committee at Banbridge Rangers also placed on record it’s appreciation for all the hard work, time and effort put in by previous manager Andy Frazer.
