Fairhill continue momentum in darts league

FAIRHILL Bar ensured that their famous victory over Drifters in the Ballymena, Harryville & District Darts League wasn’t a flash in the pan with a whitewash defeat of Slemish Tavern in Friday night’s action.

Drifters have also recovered from that setback with a 7-1 win at Diamond Bar.

In Division Two, there were wins for Ballee, Fountain Bar, and Social Club, while Michelin Club and Social Staffies shared the spoils.

In a week of no spectacular legs, Ashley Rainey had the best with an 18-darter, followed by: 19s Bobby Carson, Shane Hillis, John Robinson, 20s Bobby Carson, John Elder, Robert Beggs, Ian Rainey, Samuel Balmer, 21s Darren Hillis.

Rainey also had the week’s best finish with a ‘Shanghai’ 120, folowed by: 85 Ryan Gault (Fairhill), Stefan Kirkwood (86) Staffies), Brian Hannaway (81) (Fountain Bar)

Ryan Gault & Ian Rainey (Fairhill) both hit 180s.
