Family affair for finals

The Cushnahan family will appear in all three ladies final deciders for the National Championships at Eglantine Parish hall on Saturday, December 13.

With Theresa through to the singles decider and Sally, Suzanne and Theresa in the triples decider they had more success in the pairs at Hillsborough Social when Sally and Suzanne won their section on Monday night.

They beat Suzanne Lavery and Ciara Haughey, Soldierstown in the decider and the Rock girls had earlier won against Winnie and Thelma Irwin, Sloan Street. The Soldierstown pair beat Ann Farr and Ruth Neely, Eglantine.

In the other section, Geraldine Tallon/Genny Little, Aghagallon beat Agnes Liggett/Jean Parkinson, Eglantine before winning the decider against Mary McQuillan/Muriel McLernon, Eglantine, who had earlier beaten Marie Campbell/Laura Foote, Royal British Legion.

A reminder about the Lisburn Zone mixed triples being played tonight (Friday) at Annahilt Parish hall and next Friday at Eglantine Parish hall.
