Fan's view

I refuse to believe we are a bad team. We have showed numerous times that we are a good team but when will this “rut” end?

On Saturday, we hit the crossbar, had shots cleared off the line, numerous clear penalty decisions turned down and nothing we tried to do came to anything.

Despite the result, I was happy with Glenavon’s performance but I am really worried that we aren’t putting the ball into the net which at the end of the day is what counts in football. If we can play like that, put the ball in the net, we could start climbing the table before it’s too late.

One thing that annoyed me greatly was when the man of the match was called. The sponsors named Stuart King as man of the match to which a good few members of the Geddis Stand laughed. I’ll admit I wasn’t a massive fan of Stuarty but in the last few months he has been one of our top performers and I personally think it was between him and Willo for Player of the Month for September.

I think those so-called supporters should take a good look at themselves. It was uncalled for to laugh at a player in that manner and we should be rallying behind Marty and the boys to encourage them, not laugh at them.
