Fantastic double for bowlers from the Toon

In the Piggott Cup final at Portrush, Ballymoney romped to victory over old rivals Coleraine by 37 shots.

And in the Sutherland Cup final at Coleraine, Ballymoney B completed a memroable night for the toon with a six shot win over Ballycastle.

At Portrush Victor Dallas gave Coleraine the lead as he beat Alastair Steele by two. That was as good as it got for the Lodge Road outfit though as Gary Kelly beat Mervyn McKeeman by three.

Ballymoney took control after that as Willie McCaw recorded a 15-shot win over Jonathan Calvin and Nicky McCaw wrapped things up with a 21-shot win over Richard McDermott.

In the Progressive Sutherland Cup final M McNeill beat O Steele by 16 before A Scott reduced the deficit to one for Ballymoney as he beat J McCormick.

It was nip and tuck after that as RJ McBride put Ballymoney in front with a three shot win over D Hayes before K Carson sealed the win with a four shot victory over J McCarry.

In the Progressive Hyland Donaghy Cup final newcomers Letterkenny romped home by 72 shots against Ballycastle B.

Coleraine had more to cheer about in the league as they moved up to third place following their three shot home win over Dunluce. Both sides won two rinks each thanks to Mervyn McKeeman and Richard McDermott for the hosts and Barry Kane and Uel McKeeman for Dunluce.
