Final for Garvey

LISNAGARVEY Thirds play in their second successive McClements Cup final on Saturday. They travel to Stormont to take on Raphoe Seconds hoping to retain the trophy they won last season against Instonians.

Thirds captain, Seb Buser is confident of a good result but their opposition, Raphoe Seconds will be no easy task. Both teams have battled through three rounds to get to this position and they will be determined to put up a good performance in the great 4 final Saturday at Stormont.

The Thirds are a great mix of youth and experience with ‘old hands’ Ryan Kee, Packo Pim, Neal McKnight, John Gray and James Atkinson while youth is very evident in keeper Gavin Adams, Sean Murray, Mark McNellis, Matthew Getty and Daniel Nelson.

The contribution from these players plus the Harbinson brothers, Ian and Neil, Marty Bothwell, Glen Whitten and Glen Halliday make for a strong squad which more than has the ability to bring the trophy back to Comber Road for a second time.
