Final friendlies announced

GLENAVON have announced their final two pre-season friendly games.

They will be against Meath and District League side Duleek at Mourneview Park on Saturday, July 28, before the Blues travel to take on Tony Grant’s hometown club Glebe North a week later.

Grant will, coincidentally, be taking to the Mourneview Park pitch one final time in the game against Duleek, where he is now the club’s assistant manager. Grant is hoping to play for his new club in a small part of the game.

Duleek are now managed by former Portadown, Derry City and Lisburn Distillery defender Dave Rogers. Kick-off will be 2pm and the Annual Glenavon Open Day will follow the game.

The next Saturday, August 4, Glenavon will travel to play Leinster Senior League club Glebe North, where Grant started his career, at their picturesque ground in Balbriggan, Co Dublin. Kick-off for that game will be 3pm with the IFA Premiership season starting a week later.
