Final preparations for O’Brien challenge

THERE is now only a few days to the big race, and it looks like there will be over a 100 competitors in the third running of the O’Brien Challenge 26 Kilomathon.

Registration will start at 11am at Charis house.

There has been three major changes in the course. There will be a bit more of the race in Davagh - using the new trails due to the work in the forest, but it is no harder but it is no easier either the widow maker is still there but the other hill coming out of Davagh will not be on the course this year and that will bring a lot of smiles to a lot of runners.

The race starts at 1pm down at Lough Fea. There will be refreshments afterwards up in Charis House. The organiser would like to thank the three main sponsors Steelweld Fabrications Ltd, Performance Nutrition>Plus and Small & Hyland Chartered Accountants, without these people there would be no race
