Firsts back in action

LURGAN go into this Saturday's final group C clash with Civil Service knowing that only a victory will do if they are to have a say in this season's knock out stages of the Gordon West League Cup.

Having lost their opening two matches Civil Service are unable to qualify for the quarter finals and Lurgan have two points having beat PSNI by a point and lost to Holywood by a point. They go into the final round of games with a points difference of zero.

The other match sees Holywood entertain PSNI with the home side already having two wins and four points in the bag and a points difference of +9.

PSNI are in the same boat as Lurgan having played two, won one and lost one, and have a points difference of +4.

Lurgan can expect a tough encounter from Civil Service but should have enough in the tank for a victory while Holywood should overcome PSNI with home advantage counting for the County Down side.
