Fit N Running members star at home and abroad!

It was a busy week of racing for Fit N Running athletes who recorded prize winning performances at home and abroad.

BAY ROAD 5K

Pauline Thom travelled to The City of Derry on Wednesday evening for her first ever outing at 5k.

It proved to be a worthwhile journey as the ever improving athlete claimed second place in the female open in a promising time of 18mins 20secs.

On Friday evening 3 of the clubs male athletes where also in action in the Maiden city over the same distance.

With a strong headwind blowing times were greatly slowed.

However Mark McKinstry coped well with the conditions to record victory in 16mins 6secs.

Conor Shiels finished in 16th In 18mins 20secs with John Miskimmin 17th in 18mins 36secs.

BALLYMENA BELLES 5 MILES

Catherine Stewart took part in the Ballymena Belles 5 mile event staged at Galgorm and finished in 45mins 22secs in 111th place from an overall entry of 309 runners.

FLORIDA SEAWORLD 5k

Colin Apperley took in the Seaworld 5k during his holiday in Florida and produced a Personal Best performance as he claimed a fine 2nd place finish in 17mins 59secs.
