THE Moira side strengthened their position by securing five more important league points in a narrow three shot tightly fought victory over promotion contenders St Malachy's.

Mat one: Skip Billy Martin, Jack Taylor, Billy Elliott and Betty Scott got off to a winning start with a 12-5 win.

Mat two: Moira skip Sadie White, Bobby Jones, K Magowan and Raymond Perry were edged out by a 10-7 defeat.

Mat three: Skip Walter Cousins, Winifred Kirkwood, Madge McIlwaine, and Molly Banks scored a 10-6 victory.

Mat four: Skip Charlie Whitty, Billy Hutchinson, George Kennedy, and Mary Whitty were defeated 12-7.
