Fives tourney at Pollock Park

The competition is open to non-members as well as members with a prize of one week’s accommodation in Tenerife up for grabs for the winning team.

Lurgan wicketkeeper and organiser David Haire explained: “Many of our cricketers play football in the off season, whether that be competitively or just to keep fit. In June most people will be following the World Cup so we thought we would have a bit of fun and raise some money by running a five-a-side competition.”

Registration forms can be downloaded from the club website www.lurgancricketclub.com The cost is 30 per team and all players must be aged 18 years or older. The closing date for entries is Monday, June 8.
