FOOTBALL: Coleraine 2-4 Linfield

Coleraine crashed out of the Irish Cup today.

Davy Platt's side met Linfield at the Oval and the Belfast outfit came from behind twice to beat the Bannsiders and book their place in the final of the Irish Cup.

Stephen Carson tapped in to put Coleraine ahead on 30 minutes but Peter Thompson levelled with a header at the end of first-half stoppage time.

Patterson cooly slotted the ball past Alan Blayney to make it 2-1 on 63 minutes.

William Murphy headed in from a Robert Garrett corner in the 81st minute, Michael Carvill fired in on 91 and Paul Munster made it 4-2 a minute later.

The Blues will play Portadown in the final on 8 May.
