FOOTBALL: The RDA prove they're good sports!

THE Riding For The Disabled arena on the outskirts of Coleraine has been doing its best to help out other sports who have been affected by the recent big freeze.

The Association opened up the doors of their multi-million pound purpose built Causeway Coast Arena to provide indoor training facilities for local rugby and football clubs after they were unable to carry out normal training and practice due to frozen pitches.

Both Coleraine Rugby Club and their footballing counterparts enjoyed sessions at the venue outside Castleroe as well as other football clubs including Ballymoney United, Portstewart, Hazelbank, West Bann, Liverpool Supporters and FC Macosquin.

Needless to say, the donations from the clubs to the RDA were gratefully received, and will help to support the ongoing work of Riding for the Disabled.

Check out the RDA website, www.rdacoleraine.org, for further developments at The Causeway Coast Arena - especially lookout for the launch of the OWLS Sports Club - aimed at extending the range of sports offered by RDA Coleraine to persons with a disability, and their family and friends.
