Academy boost

GLENAVON Academy’s Easter camp attracted over 60 children each day to Mourneview Park for coaching sessions.

“I would like to thank all the Academy coaches and staff who gave up their time to work at the Easter camp,” said Thomas McStravick. “Thanks must also go to all the parents who brought their kids and the feedback has been excellent.

“I must also say I was very impressed by the commitment shown from Gary Hamilton and Nigel Laws from the senior side over the three days.

“Thanks also to the groundsman for having the facilities in top shape for us.

“This event was the perfect way to launch our new programme for next season.”

The Academy’s development centre programme will kick off from Monday, April 15 for children aged 5-10 years old. Sessions in Lurgan Junior High School will run from 6-7 o’clock and to book a place contact Julie on 07912687302 or via e-mail [email protected].
