Adam is the hero as he scores last-gasp winner

South Belfast League U15

Bangor Swifts 4

Ballymacash Rangers 5

Ballymacash showed great grit and determination to take the three points on Saturday morning in this end to end contest.

Rangers took the lead early on with a goal from Callum Rea but they failed to build on their lead and found themselves 2-1 down at half time.

Bangor Swifts looked to have made the game safe when they scored their third at the start of the second half but Rangers showed the kind of never say die attitude that’s been evident throughout most of the season.

In a fifteen minute spell they turned the game on its head with goals from Jamie White, Jake Ross and Adam Wright.

Thomas Rea then crashed a shot off the bar and Adam Clyde had a header cleared off the line as Rangers looked to kill the game off.

Bangor then looked as though they’d saved a point when they equalised with five minutes remaining but there was just enough time for one final twist in the tail as Rangers scored the winner in the last few minutes when Adam Wright raced away from two defenders and curled the ball into the bottom corner for his second goal of the game.
