Allen moves to Dergview

The appointment means Allen will work under Richard Clarke as his number two following the departure of John Quinn, who has been made assistant manager at Ballinamallard.

Allen, who was linked to the Institute job before Kevin Deery was installed in the position, started his coaching career at Maiden City.

After a successful spell managing at youth level, he joined the coaching staff at Newbuildings United, before succeeding Gary Simpson as boss for a few months.

After spending the last year out of football to concentrate on developing Newbuildings Cricket Club, Allen now brings strength and knowledge to the set-up of an ambitious Dergview coaching team.
