Amateur League: Rangers lose out to Ballysillan Swifts

Grange Rangers suffered a defeat at the hands of Ballysillan Swifts on Saturday.

Nathan Simmons got Grange Rangers off to a flying start when he opened the scoring in the first minute against Ballysillan Swifts. But the north Belfast side replied with two unanswered goals to secure a 2-1 win.

This weekend it will not be much easier when Grange travel to Castlewellan Town, who are currently in fourth position, while Rangers have dropped to seventh.

The Ballyclare side are still on the hunt for a permanent manager with joint-caretaker bosses, Wayne Lewis and Jason Leitch, looking after the team in the interim.

Grange: Heaslip White, Hunter, Gault, Johnston; Forsythe, Cooper, McCoy, Thompson, Simmons; Murphy. Subs: McCrindle, Todd, Andrews.
