Goals from Jordan Clarke and Stuart Conlin secured another valuable three points as the Factory Grounds club push ever closer to top spot in the Premier Division. Paul Foy’s men are level on points with leaders Malachians but, crucially, they have two games in hand.

Saturday’s result delighted skipper Andrew Simpson who took to Twitter, writing: “Normal service resumed today. @NortelFC boys just don’t no (sic) when to give up. Well done the lads coming off the bench and changing the game.”

Newington go into Saturday’s showdown on the back of a comprehensive 5-0 defeat away at Colin Valley. But with just one point from their last 15 available, Rangers will be desperate to bag a win against their local rivals in what could prove to be quite an interesting encounter. Watch this space.

Campbell Graham’s Mossley recorded only their second league win of the season with a 3-1 success at home to mid-table men Donard Hospital.

Jordi Fettis, a new signing from Garnge Rangers, scored with his first touch and Nick Agnew added another with an acrobatic finish. Former Rathfern Rangers frontman Colin Andrews was also on target.

The result puts Mossley within touching distance of Dromore Amateurs, who they travel to this weekend.
