Another trophy for Dromore Under 13s

Dromore Under 13s played in the Annalong seven a side competition last Saturday and, perhaps unsurprisingly, emerged victorious.

The young team have been in sterling form this season and continued that run by going unbeaten in the Annalong tournament.

They had to play six times in the preliminary rounds the results were as follows.

Balleyvae 0

Nathan took a throw in and the keeper couldn’t hold the ball and Magill scored at the back post. Karl scored the second.

Joel set up the first goal with a stinging shot that the keeper could not hold and Jack pounced to score. Then Joel made a good run up the left and squared the ball to Philip to finish off a perfect move.

Karl had a great free that Magill finished off. Karl then when round three players to score.

Dromore played so well and Morgan kept a clean sheet.

The semi-final was against Carrick Rangers, who finished second to winners in the other league.

It was a tight semi final but was won by a goal from Euan who responded quickly to spin and score after a shot from Karl was blocked.

The final again was tight.

Dromore played against Rathriland who beat Annalong in the other semi final. The final was won by an accurate pass by Morgan, which found Karl one on one with the keeper and he calmly slotted the ball home.

John and David were so pleased with the way the boys played and congratulate the boys on bringing another trophy to the club this season.
