Bad day for the Glebe as Coagh grab the win

Glebe Rangers' unbeaten record was brought to an end at home to Coagh United on Saturday.

This was big game for both teams who wanted the win to keep pace at the top of the league table. Coagh struck early in the game with James Ferguson scoring after only five minutes.

After this early set-back Glebe had to chase the game but got caught and conceded a second goal five minutes later when James Ferguson was on the mark with his second goal.

Half-time saw Coagh still ahead by the two goals and this allowed them to sit tight at the back and thwart Glebe.

Time was running out for Glebe when they conceded an own goal with 20 minutes to go and this saw Coagh shut up shop and collect three very valuable points.

Dunloy also went down by three goals as they visited Sofia Farmer.

Sofia often the whipping boys last season have shown to be a different proposition this time round with their football very pleasing on the eye.

They took an early lead in the game with Carlos Cunedo scoring in the third minute and this goal separated the teams at half-time.

The second half saw Dunloy hold Sofia to the single goal until the 84th minute when Anthimo Sanca scored. Dunloy then went down to nine men after having two men sent off in separate incidents.

Play was into stoppage time when Nuno Colaco scored a third goal for Sofia.

Wakehurst continue to lead the way at the top after their 3-1 win over Chimney Corner.

The Corner got back on level terms after Darren Burgoyne scored in the 54th minute only to see Stuart Nixon put Wakehurst back in font with his second goal on the hour. Wakehurst scored a third goal through Aaron Weir on the 79th minute to seal the win and keep their place at the top of the League Table.
