‘Bogey should have been two up early on but it was Portrush who found themselves two up after mistakes in defence and midfield.

Portrush capitalised with two excellent finishes to leave the ‘Bogey ‘keeper with no chance. ‘Bogey got their rewards when Andrew Mooney latched onto an Ian Parkhill corner and headed the ball into the net.

The second half started the same as the first with end to end football and two good sides going for the victory.

It was ‘Bogey who equalised through Andrew Shepard with a good strike from the edge of the box to set up the last twenty minutes for both teams to go for all points and both teams missed chances before Parkhill put the ball into the net from a fine Andrew Magee cross to put ‘Bogey 3-2 up and keep their 100 per cent record in the league so far this season.

This week Ballybogey are at home to Dervock and then away to league leaders Ballycastle before the Christmas break.
