Ballymena League Junior Divisions round-up

Ballymena and Provincial League Junior Divisions: In Junior Division One, Ballyclare Comrades Reserves had to settle for a 3-3 draw at Desertmartin Swifts. Scott Cummings, Kyle Robinson and Bobby Crowe were on target for the ‘Wee Reds’.

Sean Derry and Ryan O’Neill score for FC Whiteabbey in their 3-2 defeat at home to Cookstown RBL, while a Ross Oliver doubled secured three points for Woodlands at Mallusk Athletic.

In Junior Division Two, strikes from John Davey and Jason Norrell saw Ballyclare North End edge past Ballynure OB ‘B’ who opened the scoring through Ryan Stewart.

Larne Olympic eased to a 5-2 win at home to Brantwood Reserves. Stephen McCutcheon (two), Keith Hall, David Stewart Gerard McAlea were on the scoresheet for the Invermen.

Remo had to settle for a point at Wakehurst Strollers after Peter Adams cancelled out John Fox’s opener for the visitors.

In Division Three, Carnlough Swifts went down 4-0 at Brantwood-Loughside, but Castle Star eased to a 7-0 win away to Antrim Rovers Swifts. The goals came courtesy of Dean Meneely, Andy Hall (three), Darren Anthony, Lloyd Watters and Darren Anthony.

1st Carrick OB were 4-2 winners over Carrick Thistle. Ryan Clawson (two), Marcus Livingstone and Andrew Scott netted for the Old Boys with Philip Crozier and Lee Steele on target for Thistle.

3rd Ballyclare Old Boys won 5-2 at Red Star with Andrew Carmichael, Stuart Smith (two), Steve Howe and Aaron Gilmore firing home.

Whitehead Rangers breezed to a 4-0 success at KCC Athletic. Steve Thomson put Rangers ahead then an own goal made it 2-0.

Michael Deignan made it three before John Pawson made added a fourth for Rangers.
