Ballymena & Provincial League round-up: Raceview make no mistake in cup tie

RACEVIEW made sure they weren’t going to be the victims of a ‘giant-killing act’ on Saturday.

In the Crawford Cup – the Ballymena & Provincial League’s equivalent of the FA Cup – the Broughshane men were drawn against Encore FC, of Junior Division Three. On paper, it looked an easy assignment for Jason Cairns’ side and on grass, it proved to be the case as Raceview ran out 12-1 winners against their lowly opponents.

Carniny Amateurs were unable to build on their first win of the season, losing 2-0 at Magherafelt Sky Blues.
