Next up for the under 9s was a powerful looking Coleraine side, and just as last week the Ballymoney boys started slowly being put under pressure from the first whistle by Coleraine and together with some slack defending the boys gifted Coleraine two goals when they again failed to clear their lines from two early corners.

BUYA U10’s v Coleraine Won 3-0 (Kelly 2, Dallas.)

Ballymoney under 10,s played a very strong Coleraine side on Saturday morning.

From the kick-off Coleraine took the game to Ballymoney who struggled to get hold of the ball in the first ten minutes. Coleraine pushed Ballymoney to the limit but good defending from Maybin, Kirk and McMullan in goal kept the shoreline at 0-0.

Ballymoney started to see more of the ball with Downes,McLaughlin,Kelly and Stinson play the fast moving one two football that the coaches know they are capable of. The first half finished 0-0.

The second half started better for Ballymoney with Stinson and McLaughlin being replaced by Dallas and McCollum, with two fresh sets of legs they upped their game.

A good run from Dallas and a pin point cross into the box, McCollum headed the ball only to see it rebound off the keeper.

The ball fell to Kelly who had no hesitation in slotting it in the back of the net.1-0.

Great work again from Dallas down the left hand side crossed the ball into the box for Kelly to score his second of the game.2-0.

However the game was not over and Ballymoney was starting to do all the work and on 33 minutes Ballymoney won a corner.

A great delivery from Kelly into the heart of the Coleraine defence, Dallas was there with a great diving header that gave the keeper no chance 3-0.

Ballymoney saw the rest of the game out on top.

Another great result for the boys.

Captain Tony Kelly.

BUYA U10’s Athletic v Bertie’s Little Ants Lost 6-2 ( Patton, Orr.)

BUYA U11’s v Northend Won 6-1 ( McKeeman-Craig 2, Milliken, Morrison, Christie, Beckett. )

After 5 minutes the ball fell to Joshua Morrison on the edge of the box who finished with a lethal strike into the roof of the net.

Money buzzing from the early goal continued to press forward and after a prolonged period of pressure Cameron Milliken made it 2 from a Joel Christie corner.

It was all Ballymoney now and the attacking threat of Morrison on the left and McComb on the right was proving to much for Northend who conceded a third after a menacing run and inch perfect cross from McComb was finished in style with a right foot volley from Christie.

Northend were struggling to get out of their own half with Money moving the ball with pace and accuracy. Jacob Craig made it four with a super finish after a good passing move on the edge of the Northend penalty area.

In the 2nd half Money took their foot of the gas and Northend created one or two openings but with Thomas McNabb in fine form in goal and Matthew McNeil’s amazing goal line clearance Northend failed to capitalise.

Craig bagged an impressive 2nd of the day after some good interplay on the right from McComb, Christie and Kelvin Kelly.

At 5-0 Northend introduced an extra player which coupled with Money feeling the job was done allowed Northend some more possession but Padraig Kelly, Stuart Roe and Scott Gardiner in defence were up to the challenge and thwarted any Northend attacks.

Daniel Beckett capped a fine performance with a terrific goal dribbling past the defender and rounding the goal keeper before Northend scored a consolation goal with the last kick of the game.

Well done to all the boys on a terrific team performance.

BUYA U12’s v Enniskillen Rangers Won 8-0(Doherty 5, Knight 2, O’Neill )

Five games into the national league and Ballymoney finally produced the football we are a customed to with this young team.

O’Neil opened the scoring when he pounced on a loose ball to stab  home.

After this it was one way traffic, with Ballymoney playing superb one and two touch football.

Ballymoney added a further three before halftime the pick of the goals was Conall Doherty’s volley from a Shaw Fleck cross.

Today Ballymoney made a few positional changes and this had the desired effect after last weeks disappointing result.

The second half Ballymoney continued to dominate and further goals from Doherty and Knight took the final score to 8-0.
