The Bannsiders are the opponents for the Scottish League One side in what will be a testimonial game for their long-serving defender Martin Campbell.

Kicking the day off is a superb old crocks match (1.15 kick off) which features many old favourites including several members of the 2002 CIS cup final squad.

“Not only will it be a good workout for us, but it’s also good opportunity to get the squad away together.

“It’s just over three weeks to the start of the new season so we’ll be stepping everything up in preparation for that game.”

The Bannsiders recorded another good win on Saturday as they saw off Limavady United.

Oran Kearney’s men ran out comfortable 5-2 winners over Paul Owens’ side.

Garth Falconer set Ian Parkhill up for the first before the striker grabbed a second on half time, this time from a Darren McCauley cross.

Cahir Friel pulled one back at the start of the second half before Lyndon Kane and trialist James McLaughlin made it 4-1.

Another former Coleraine star, Gareth Tommons, made it 4-2, before Parkhill completed his hat-trick with a goal late on.

“It was a very useful game for us,” said Kearney.

“It’s all about building up fitness at this stage but I was pleased with the performances and it’s always nice to grab a few goals.

“We have to keep pushing on now.”
