Bannsiders run men’s health month

November will be a busy month for Coleraine Football Club as the club embarks upon four weeks of health-based initiatives specifically targeting men within the local community.

The programme originated from the ‘Movember’ fundraiser where men grow moustaches during the month of November in aid of raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer.

Via backing and support from the CFC Board, this single men’s health idea has now been expanded into wider events covering the entire month, reaching out to the whole local male community in the process.

On Saturday 1 November ‘Aware Defeat Depression’ will be present within the Showgrounds prior to our home match against Institute, providing advice and information on how supporters can be more aware of mental health illnesses.

Similarly the ‘British Heart Foundation’ will be present at the Showgrounds before the home match against Dungannon Swifts on Saturday 1

In between those dates, on Monday 10 November a ‘Mood Matters’ workshop will take place at the Showgrounds.

Coinciding with International Men’s Day on Wednesday 19 November, the CFC Social Club will be hosting a Men’s Health & Well-being Event.
