Weekly preview: Banbridge Rangers will travel to Belfast on Saturday to take on Dundonald in the opening round off this season’s Intermediate Cup.

This will prove to be a stern test for the Gers who haven’t won a game in normal time since August compared to the form off their hosts who are sitting in second place in 1A of the Amateur League. Kick-off is at the earlier time and there is a few spaces left on the team bus for anyone wishing to travel to the game.

The Reserves travelled to Warrenpoint on Saturday past only to be informed that the game was postponed but will hopefully get a game this Saturday away to Lurgan Celtic Reserves with kick off at 2.15pm at Knockrammer Park. The Swifts also travel to Lurgan on Saturday with a 2.15pm kick off to take on Institute Reserves at Lurgan Park.

The Under 18s went down 4-1 to Lisburn Rangers at Scarva Park on Saturday morning with Stephen Copes making a goalscoring return to the club but their scheduled game with Craigavon City may be shelved this week as they have a pending Cup tie that takes preference.

The Under 12s will be looking to add to Saturday’s victory over Lurgan Town when they play at the Tech pitch again this week against Newry side Windmill Stars. Chris Oakes and Luke Brown on were on target for the Gers with Matthew Hillis saving a penalty in the second half to secure the win. The Under 11s won on Saturday against Glenavon at Havelock Park with Sam McKinstry netting a brace along with Ben Wilson and Luke Gregson getting one apiece and will play Dromore at Havelock this Saturday with kick off at 11.00am.
