Although he is expected to give some squad players some much needed game time, but the ’Stute boss still wants to maintain their super start to the season.

The Waterside men still haven’t tasted defeat this year and Kee can afford to give experinced trio a rest.

It will be an opportunity to give some young players some game time,” stated Kee.

Paddy McLaughlin is carrying a groin injury, Darren McCauley got a knock on the knee and Aaron Walsh has got a hamstring problem so we can rest them.

“It’s not a priority. I’ll probably use the likes of Ryan Varma, Sean Reilly, Graeme Crown, Stephen O’Donnell and Colm McLaughlin.

“They all need matches, the training has been excellent. Everyone has been training regularly and everyone has been training well and the intensity in training has been good and that has been reflected in the games.

“Our attitude and application has been fantastic and we’re taking that out onto the pitch and putting teams onto the back foot and that’s what we want to keep doing. It’s in our DNA now.”

The Drumahoe man has been over the moon by midfielder Darren McCauley’s form, who currently is the club’s leading marksman.

“McCauley’s on fire. He’s a machine and when he plays like that he’s almost unstoppable,” declared Kee.

“The thing is that he’s able to sustain that for long periods of the game. Even with five minutes to go he’s still running and penetrating and putting people on the back foot.

“All good teams need that. We have a good counter attacking group in McCauley, (Robbie) Hume, (Darren) McFadden and (Michael) McCrudden who can run and (Tom) Carlin is having a good season as well.”

Institute have scored 23 goals in their opening seven games and Kee wants that run to continue against the Bannsiders second string.

“That’s another five scored in the league which is excellent. The more goals you score the better because that sends the message.

“It keeps us at the top end of the table also but we have to keep that momentum going. We can’t get complacent or arrogant about it.

“We need to just focus on the next match. We have to be very careful and guard against complacency,” concluded the ’Stute gaffer.
